The heart of Baptist Children’s Homes (BCH) beats with a rhythm of hope that extends to children, families and adults. For every person’s specific need there is a unique BCH ministry ready to help and to share God’s love.

BCH has locations in more than three dozen communities in NC, SC and in Guatemala.

BCH impacted 172,101 lives in 2024 through the support of NC Baptists.

The majority of those we serve come to BCH unchurched and unreached for Jesus.

There were 322 professions of faith proclaimed in 2024.

There are more than 10,000* NC children in the state’s foster care system -- boys and girls removed from their homes for their protection.

Through the EVERY CHILD Ministry, a partnership between BCH and NC Baptists, we train and license Christian couples to be foster families. We help churches begin their own foster care ministries.

Churches are empowered through trauma-informed trainings to equip children’s ministry teams, foster & adoptive families, and families impacted by autism with resources to promote connection, community and safety so discipleship in churches can flourish.

Christian Adoption Services aids couples with domestic & international adoption.

CAS comes alongside expectant mothers to show them the beauty of choosing life for their babies by helping them make an adoption plan. Lifetime ministry for birth mothers, who chose adoption for their children, is available through CAS

In partnership with Good Shepherd Ministries , BCH provides an orphanage and cottage homes in Guatemala for impoverished and abandoned children. BCH outreaches to churches who minister to Guatemala’s impoverished people through a camp operated by Volunteer Baptists International.

The  Intellectually/Developmentally Disabled Ministry offers cottage homes for special adults and homes in the residences of willing families through Alternative Family Living.
